Extended Warranty Service

This package includes:
  • A 7 year parts in lieu of standard 5 year parts warranty
  • A 2 year PLC and CNC warranty
  • A 5 year onsite limited labor warranty
In the event of a problem the customer will be required to help troubleshoot the situation over the phone. In the event the problem cannot be diagnosed and troubleshooting has been exhausted, Standard Industrial will send in a technician at no charge to resolve the situation.

Start-Up / Training / Maintenance Service

Onsite FACTORY training/start-up is not included or required with purchase of a new shear. Due to the simplicity of our machinery formal training is rarely required. The Training/start-up for the machine is does not include physical installation/rigging/electrical hook-up, oil installation: All of which are to be complete before service technician arrives.

Squaring Arms on either right hand or left hand side

Measured from BLADE to END OF SCALE available in 4' length (2' off table), 8' length (6' off table) and 12' length (10’ off table)

Low end of rake is on right hand side as standard.

Additional T-slots machined in table front to back
Additional Hand slots machined in table

T-slot across front edge of shear table

Ball Transfers

Heavy duty transfers to allow easy material handling
Ball Transfers mounted on Squaring arm and/or support arm are also available

NOTE: Ball transfers are standard on all AS500 and larger shears and on all 14’ and longer shears.

T-slot Support Arms

24" or 36" or 48" Support Arms with precision machined bars for setting stops for repetitive work. Also available with imbedded scales in the arms and/or imbedded scales in the shear table.

Accessories for Squaring Arms and T-slots

Swing stop for squaring arm - slide up and down the length of the squaring arm for repetitive work

Disappearing/gravity stop for t-slot. Allows you to slide material over top of gravity stop which pops up after material has passed over - does not allow material to slide back over.

Protractor for angle shearing - for angle shearing

Backgauge Options

48" Travel backgauge in lieu of 36"

This option will cause over-width shipment. Not required if power swing-away ordered

Power Swing-away Backgauge With 48" Travel

Swings entire backgauge up and out of the way automatically at end of gauge travel - This option comes with 48" travel. Will cause over-width shipment.

NOTE: 48" Travel is Standard on all 5/8" and Larger Shears
    Manual swing-away is standard on all shears

Infinitely Variable, Quick-Change Blade Gap Adjustment

Front operated, powered, positive mechanical system that allows operator to instantly change the blade gap to full shearing range. An indicator located directly in front of the operator shows the exact location of the gap as well as the recommended material to be cut.

NOTE: Infinitely Variable Power Blade Gap Adjustment is standard on all 1/2" & larger & all 14' and longer shears
    Manual quick-change blade gap adjustment is standard on all 1/4" and 3/8" shears up to 12'

Automatic Lubrication System

The auto lube system automatically feeds the required EP-1 grease to the lubrication points on the machine via a grease reservoir.

NOTE: All 10 gauge, 1/4" and 3/8" x shears up to 12' only require lubrication of the gibbs.
All 1/2" and larger and 14' and longer shears come standard with a Manifold centralized lube system and are available with the Auto lubrication System.

Two Position Power Rake Adjustment

Allows operator to instantly change the rake angle of the shear at the push of a button on the front of the shear. This will make the rake flatter allowing less distortion in thin strips of material

Four Position Stroke Adjustment

Allows operator to select Full Stroke, ¾ of Full Stroke, ½ of Full Stroke or ¼ of Full Stroke with 4 position selector switch mounted on front of shear.

Paint Color

Standard color is Charcoal Grey - Tan/Beige can be ordered at n/c, Must be requested on purchase order. Special color--single color only-sample must be supplied

Shear Blades

Hi-Carbon, Hi-Chrome blades in lieu of standard blades Recommended for customers using app. 75% or more stainless.
Extra set of standard shock resistant or HCHC blades

Hold Down Cylinders

Hold Down Cylinders available with impact pads- for mar-free applications.
Extra Hold Down Cylinder for close work on both ends of shear
Independent Hold Down Actuation- actuates all hold downs simultaneously without actuating ram

CNC Square gauging / Front Gauge Systems

For precision front gauging using CNC gauging system mounted to the front edge of shear table allowing fingers to extend into the shear table.
Prices include: Swing arm pendant mount for control and Slots in table for drives. Available for AS500 and smaller model shears

Pneumatic Sheet Support Systems

Pneumatically controlled support arms mounted below backgauge with arms that raise and lower to support lighter material that will not extend to backstop.
Available in all lengths up to .500" capacity.

Oil Cooler

Fan radiator type. Recommended for higher temperature applications.
Oil coolers are standard on all ¾” and larger shears and with all optional hi-speed systems

High Speed Hydraulic Systems

Available with all sizes

Safety Systems

Light Curtain safety barrier system in lieu of standard mechanical awareness barrier across front of shear blade area.

Light Curtain safety barrier across back of machine to enclose gauging area and/or in addition to standard awareness barrier.

Physical barriers/Cages to enclose back of shear - Extremely heavy duty cage that surrounds entire back of machine with interlocking gate system that shuts machine down when open.

Customized safety systems available upon request

Compliance Options

UL Listing, CSA, ZED
As standard all components on machines are U.L. listed but the system as a whole is not U.L. compliant. All systems are available optionally with U.L. compliance.

Other compliance options may be available upon request
